Le Due Terre FCO Sacrisassi Rosso 2019

Fco Sacrisassi Rosso is a red wine produced by Le Due Terre in Prepotto, Friuli and obtained from manually harvested Refosco and Schioppetino grapes. The fermentation is spontaneous with indigenous yeasts and maceration for 30 days on the skins, then refinement for approximately 22 months in non-first passage barriques. Fco Sacrisassi Rosso on the nose recalls hints of rose and violet with balsamic hints and returns of black pepper and liquorice. In the mouth it is fresh and soft, the tannin is silky with a savory and long finish. Absolutely to pair with San Daniele

Le Due Terre was founded in 1984 in Prepotto, in the province of Udine, by Silvana Forte and Flavio Basilicata.

The winery is one of the smallest in Friuli, being able to count on only 4 hectares of vineyards and has always stood out for the search for artisanal quality in its wines, becoming over the years a cult winery for enthusiasts of Friulian wines scattered around the world. They are, among other things, redists convinced of a land with a white vocation.

They produce around 17,000 bottles per year, divided between four wines: Sacrisassi white, Sacrisassi red (blend of Schioppettino and Refosco), Merlot and Pinot Noir.
