The “Luce” red wine was born from the collaboration between Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi in ​​the Tenuta Luce della Vite in Montalcino. It is an innovative blend of Sangiovese and Merlot, combining structure and softness in an area known for Brunello di Montalcino. The grapes, harvested in September, ferment in steel and undergo prolonged maceration, and then refine for 24 months in 85% new barriques. Of an intense ruby ​​color, “Luce” has a rich and complex aromatic profile, with floral, fruity, woody and spicy notes. A full-bodied wine, symbol of the Supertuscans, loved by enthusiasts and critics.

Tenuta Luce is one of the properties of the Frescobaldi family, located in the Montalcino area, in Tuscany. The estate extends for 192 hectares, of which 88 are planted with vines, with an average density of 6,100 plants per hectare. The Camigliano area, where the estate’s vineyards are located, has a warm and dry climate, ideal for the production of Sangiovese. In the lower part of the vineyard, on clay soils, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are grown. The company’s flagship wine is Luce, a blend of Merlot and Sangiovese, powerful, elegant and aromatic.
