Le Grolleau 2018, Grolleau – Two Bottles
Azay-le-Rideau is the cradle of Grolleau: consider that the first writings regarding old varieties of Grolleau were discovered in 1810 precisely in Cinq Mars la Pile, just 5 km from estate of Marie Thibault. This is a true vin de soif, airy and low in alcohol, produced with carbonic maceration. Tonic and perky, irresistible at the table.
Les Grandes Vignes 2016, Gamay, Malbec
From old swans on clay-limestone soil. The grapes are vinified separately: the gamay macerates for 2 weeks and is made of 50% steel, while the remaining 50% is made in 300 and 500 liter barrels; The Cot, on the other hand, macerates for 20 days and makes 350 liter wood. Rich and energetic with notes of red fruit and spices.

LIGNIERES DE TOURAINE, Loire (France)
Marie Thibault worked as an employee of Francois Chidaine in 2002 and then became an independent wine producer in 2004. Her company is located in Lignieres de Touraine, on the edge of the Loire Valley. Marie owns 3.5 ha, where white and red grape varieties such as Chenin Blanc, Grolleau and Gamay grow. The vineyards are around 50 years old under organic cultivation (since 2014) and around 10 thousand bottles of red whites and petillants are produced annually.
