Wine Box of 6 mixed wine
La Roue Qui Tourne Blanc 2018Chenin Blanc
From a 50-year-old vineyard on soil rich in rock and Silex. Fermentation takes place in 600 litre barrels. The wine is bottled before the end of the alcoholic fermentation which is completed in the bottle without any addition making it petillant. Notes of apple and iodine, with a distinct minerality.
Touraine Azay-le-Rideau Premier Nez 2018Chenin Blanc - Two Bottles
From a 50-year-old vineyard on clay-limestone soil. Harvested by hand in small containers and then used 600 litre barrels for 18 months. Unfiltered. Nose played on yellow fruit. In the mouth pulpy and salty. Fantastic with spicy white meats or goat cheeses.
Le Grolleau 2018 x 2, Grolleau
Azay-le-Rideau is the cradle of Grolleau: just think that the first writings about old varieties of Grolleau were discovered in 1810 in Cinq Mars la Pile, just 5 km from Marie Thibault's estate. This is a true vin de soif, airy and low in alcohol, produced with carbonic maceration. Tonic and lively, irresistible at the table.
Les Grandes Vignes 2016Gamay, Malbec
From old vines on clay-limestone soil. The grapes are vinified separately: the Gamay macerates for 2 weeks and makes for the 50% steel, while the remaining 50% makes 300 and 500 litre barrels; the Cot (Malbec) on the other hand macerates for 20 days and makes 350 litre barrels. Rich and energetic with notes of red fruit and spices.
