Matassa RollaBall 2022

Rollaball 2022 is a Matassa rosé wine produced by Tom Lubbe in Calce, Languedoc Roussillon, and made from the whole cluster crushing of Mourvedre and Carignan grapes. These grapes come from the same black earth appenation used for Les Myrs, and are aged for a total of 10 months in cement before being bottled without filtration, addition or clarification. Rollaball is a convivial and happy wine perfect with a pappardella with white hare ragout. The nose is bursting with Mediterranean scrub, with hints of aromatic herbs and floral and fruity notes, while in the mouth it is fresh and light, soft and rounded

Lime, Cote Catalanes (France)
Tom Lubbe, from South Africa to a small village of 300 people in Roussillon, with no return.
It was 2002 and in a short time Tom has become a cult producer not only for the wonderful terroir of Lime.
Its wines are taut, nervous and mineral like the granite on which the old vines are planted, at the same time graceful and ethereal, like the wind that inevitably combs those wild hills.
