Matassa Cuvèe Alexandria 2023

Cuvèe Alexandria is a white wine produced by Matassa di Tom Lubbe in Calce, in Languedoc Roussillon, and obtained from 100% Moscato di Alessandria grapes. Manual harvest and spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and a short whole bunch maceration. Cuvèe Alexandria is produced only in the best years, and is also perfect as a dessert. On the nose the hints of pink grapefruit, mosquito and cardamom stand out, when tasted it is fresh and exuberant, light and citrusy on the finish

Tom Lubbe, from South Africa to a small village of 300 people in Roussillon, without return.

It was 2002 and in a short time Tom became a cult producer not only for the wonderful terroir of Calce.

His wines are tense, nervous and mineral like the granite on which the old sapling vines are planted, at the same time graceful and ethereal, like the wind that unfailingly combs those wild hills.
