🍷 Orange Wine

🛁 The grapes come from sandy clay soils, spontaneous fermentation with 3 weeks of maceration on the skins in steel, ageing in used barriques for at least 9 months, bottled without the addition of sulphites

👃🏻 Hints of oxidative and candied citrus fruits, dates and hydrocarbons, wild herbs and wilted white flowers, very mineral and with a hint of spice

👅 Mineral and refined, a champion of minerality and freshness, the oxidation is consistent in the mouth, the finish round and long

👍🏻 Serving temperature 10°-14°

💕 Ramen

😍 Spectacular, in this price range it is a real gem

Mollands, Burgenland

We are in the easternmost region of Austria, in Kamptal, where the Hager family has owned 20 hectares of land for several generations. Of these now only seven are not used for viticulture, planted with wheat and fruit trees.

Initially, it was a farm with many animals, but then Matthias' father specialised in viticulture, and the rest is history.

The farm has been biodynamically managed since 2005, the most cultivated varieties are Gruner Veltliner, Riesling and Zweigelt.

The production area is influenced by a rather harsh continental climate, with very cold winds and nights, typical of the Waldviertel area. The soil is varied, ranging from clay to loess (i.e. sand), from schist to granite via gneiss.

The resulting wines are characterised by great drinkability and a very pronounced personality
