Michel Chevrè La Haie Nardin 2020
39,80 € 36,90 €
Saumur Le Haie Nardin is a white wine produced by Michel Chevrè in Courchamps, in the Loire Valley. The Chenin Blanc grapes come from a magical vineyard that can only be accessed on horseback, and are harvested manually. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and rapid maceration in barriques, where it will then age for 10 months. Lime and jasmine stand out on the nose, it is fresh, light and persistent. It is a light-hearted wine perfect for light but reasoned fish starters

🛁 From a young vineyard on limestone land, accessible only by horseback, it ferments and matures for 10 months in 25-hectolitre barrels.
👃🏻 White flowers, above all jasmine, then citrus notes of lemon and lime, sweet spices and great use of wood
👅 Fresh, light and easygoing sip, but only in appearance because the structure is important, the alcohol well integrated and the wood perceptible just right. Fabulous on the finish
💕 Spaghetto with clams and Jerusalem artichokes, Linguine with rocket pesto and shrimp beating
😍 Example of perfect dosage of wood during vinification

Courchamps, Saumur
Michel Chevrè began his exclusion in the world of wine in 1992 when he started working as cellar manager at the Domaine des Roches Neuves of the famous Thierry Germain.
Since 2007, he has owned a small plot of Chenin Blanc in Courchamps, under the Saumur AOC appellation. In 2009, he started making wine using the Germain cellar, thus giving birth to Clos de l'Ecotard.
Chevrè wine production is characterised by a non-interventionist approach in the vineyard and the use of indigenous yeasts in the cellar for spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in barrels.
