👃🏻 Complex with woody and mineral hints opening an interesting olfactory spectrum characterised by distinct notes of hazelnut and ripe tropical fruit then white flower petals and sweet spices, and finally mint and eucalyptus

Barbaresco, Langhe

The Moccagatta winery has a long winemaking tradition, going back to the mid-19th century. Today it is Sergio Minuto
who passionately continues the business his ancestors started together with his grandson Stefano and daughter Martina.
In the heart of the Langhe, in the commune of Barbaresco, the company owns 15 hectares, 12 of which are planted with vines
distributed among the Nebbiolo (6.5 hectares), Barbera (2.5 hectares), Dolcetto (1.5 hectares) and Chardonnay (1.5 hectares) grape varieties for a
average production of 67,000 bottles. The soils, located at an average altitude of 250 metres above sea level, are characterised by
from the 'Marne di Sant'Agata', a geological formation dating back to the Tortonian period, composed of bluish clays
calcareous soil particularly suited to vine cultivation. The search for productive balance and a
special care of the plants, from pruning to summer thinning of the bunches, combined with the use of modern
cellar facilities and equipment were essential for the production of quality wines
