On the hill of Castelrotto, in the heart of historic Valpolicella, the 55-year-old vines are still cultivated with the married vine system, that is, rows interrupted by tall trees (mulberry trees, almond trees) that support them. The grapes dry in the fruit cellar for approximately 120 days before fermenting in open oak vats. Maturation for 3 years in 25 hl oak barrels and refinement in bottle for at least 2 and a half years
Complex, dark flowers, undergrowth, plum and candied berries. Then Black Pepper and Cocoa.
Soft and enveloping, full-bodied, with lively tannin and great elegance. A wine of great persistence

The Monte Dall’Ora vineyards are located in an area of classic Valpolicella particularly suited to viticulture: on the Castelrotto hill grapes have been grown and wine has been produced since the 5th century.
The choice to produce single cru wines summarizes the company’s search for identity. In Monte dall’Ora and Camporenzo the Veronese pergola vineyard is cultivated on terraces facing south-east towards the city of Verona.
In San Giorgio there is the high hill Valpolicella Superiore, where finesse and verticality are predominant. Finally, a new synergistic vineyard project is coming to life in Sausto.
The land is half a meter deep and rocks emerge that form a limestone base of Eocene origin. The rocks, quite friable, drain excess water and guarantee the necessary humidity for the roots of the vines, which go deep, extracting precious mineral substances.
