The history of wine in today’s Czech Republic, specifically in Moravia, has very distant origins, in fact it dates back to Roman times; wine in this region is tradition and culture, and has a strong impact on the local economy.

About 90% of the country’s wine is produced in Moravia, thanks to a precious soil and a continental climate that allows the wines to develop great acidity; this terror enhances the aromaticity of the native varieties and the refinement of the many international vines used in the area.

Production is very limited and intended mainly for local consumption, the hectares of vineyards are less than 20,000, and the producers are around 900.
