Also known as Spanna or Chiannevasca, Nebbiolo is the King of Italian black berries, the most noble but also among the most difficult vines to breed.
Native Piedmontese also present in Valle d’Aosta, Lombardy, Abruzzo, Marche and even Sardinia, not very inclined to give great results outside Italy, in the Bel Paese it is bred in around 6000 hectares.
It is the protagonist of some of the greatest Italian wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco, but also Gattinara, Sassella and Sfursat, among others.
A vine with great vigor that prefers hilly and cool territories, it ripens late like all the champions.
