Montecchio Emilia, Italy
In the homeland of Lambrusco, Roberto Maestri has been managing the Azienda Agrciola Quarticello since 2007, a 5-hectare estate certified organic since 2015.
Roberto graduated in Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Bologna and in 2007 he decided to make wine from his own grapes that the family previously gave to the cooperative winery.
Quarticello’s approach is absolutely natural and respects traditional processes, having always been used to drinking natural wine even at home.
Like all natural wine producers, before establishing himself, he had to fight against prejudices and clichés, but this has not changed his production philosophy and he is now recognized as one of the most talented winemakers in the entire region.
In the book Effervescence Roberto tells Massimo Zanichelli about his experience: we consider reading this book as well as trying his fantastic products
