Minho Blend Branco 2019Azal, Arinto - Three Bottles
a loamy soil at an altitude of 400 meters, an uncompromising wine that combines a classic vinification with indigenous yeasts and a year's stay in stainless steel at a controlled temperature with the absence of added sulfites, replaced by the use of a natural product made from chestnut flowers. From a plant adjacent to the estate vineyards, the flowers are harvested in July before being dried and turned into powder: the addition tested is 40 grams per hectolitre and the result surprised everyone. The Instituto Politécnico de Bragança has been precisely studying the antioxidant and antimicrobial effects since 2015. Wine for fish, seafood and white meat.
Vinho Verde Loureiro 2019, Loureiro - Three Bottles
Made only from Loureiro grapes (along with Alvarinho, the most important white grape variety in the area), vinified with indigenous yeasts and left to mature for just under a year in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature before a period of about 6 months in the bottle. Mineral, aromatic and fruity, it stands out for its perturbing drinkability and strong character in which the acidity is vehement but never the protagonist. It has little alcohol but is very significant, inviting you to return to the glass again and again. Truly a little gem.
