Australian wines only entered the market in the 1960s and the magnificent reds from this faraway land took very little time to establish themselves in the Gotha of the wine world.
This is due to the feeling between the terroir of areas such as the Barossa or McLaren Vale and certain Old World (or rather very Old World) vines, including above all the Shiraz, which here, loaded with buckshot, is sublime.
