Saffredi is the most famous and representative wine of Fattoria Le Pupille. It was created thanks to the vision and intuition of Elisabetta, who worked with the renowned winemaker Giacomo Tachis to realize her dream of producing a great wine in the Maremma. The name “Saffredi” is a tribute to Fredi, who inspired Elisabetta’s passion for wine. Today, Saffredi is considered one of the best Italian wines and one of the most important brands of Fattoria Le Pupille. Saffredi is an IGT Toscana Rosso wine produced by Fattoria Le Pupille, obtained from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The production process involves controlled fermentation in stainless steel and long maturation in oak barriques. The result is an elegant and persistent wine, with aromas of red fruit, spices and tobacco. It is a wine suitable for accompanying important dishes such as rack of lamb in a crust of Mediterranean herbs.
