La Ferme de Sato les Nuages Pinot is a red wine produced by Sato Estate in Central Otago, New Zealand. It is obtained from pure Pinot Noir grapes that come from shale alluvial soil 300 meters above sea level. 10% of them remain in whole bunches, the mass ferments spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, the maceration lasts about a month in non-first passage wood. In the same container the wine ages for about 10 months, finally bottled. La Ferme de Sato les Nuages Pinot is an exuberant wine with dense tannin and complex aromas on the nose that range from juniper to coffee. Try it with wagyu.

Yoshiaky Sato and his wife Kyoko met during their respective assignments for a Japanese banking group operating between Tokyo and London; they were both hired in 1998 but only met many years later, in time to decide to fly together to New Zealand to produce wine. They later graduated in agronomy and oenology in Christchurch and settled in Central Otago where they founded their company, Sato Estate
