The grapes come from vineyards located in a land with clay-limestone soil, 80% of the grapes are not destemmed, they macerate for two weeks in barrels used for at least 5 years, then they refine in the same containers for a year

Red flower petals and lots of berries, spicy and mineral notes, vegetal and damp earth, straw and truffle notes

Powerful and soft, good acidity and fine, savory and persistent tannins

La Sextant is a brand new but already cult winery, it was created by Dominique Derain and Julien Altaber. Julien has been working with Dominique for many years, he currently manages the cellar, and has finally decided to start focusing on his own labels. The vinification and refinement take place in the highly structured cellars of Derain.
