The Syrah Case Via is a red wine produced by Fontodi in the splendid Panzano in Chianti with a biodynamic/organic approach in the vineyard. The Syrah grapes come from the Case Via and Pecille vineyards, they are carefully selected, they ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks where they macerate for 3 weeks. Aged for 24 months in non-first passage barriques, it is bottled with a homeopathic dose of sulfur dioxide, and rests in glass for a few months. The nose of Syrah Case Via is a riot of notes of roasting and dark spices, of plum and withered red flowers, of mint; in the mouth it is soft and round, savory and elegant, the tannins are velvety and the finish is long. Try it with lamb
