Ortonovo, Liguria
Terra della Luna is located in Ortonovo, within the Colli di Luni denomination in the area known as Pezzo Grande, an area dedicated until 1800 to the production of wine, the Blanc Bon dear to the Fabbricotti family.
The company was founded in 2006 by Alessandro Vignali and can count on hectares of Vermentino, Shiraz and Grenache vineyards.
The terroir is composed of clayey soils that benefit from the salty influences of the nearby Ligurian Sea.
The winery’s approach is organic and has little intervention in the vineyard, where a natural essence of sweet orange is used alongside homeopathic quantities of copper and sulphur. Vignali repudiates chemistry and from 2009 to today he has lost 3 years in order not to abandon his ideals.
In the cellar we proceed with winemaking using native yeasts and spontaneous fermentations
