Sicilia Bianco G 2020,  Grecanico 95%, Carricante ed altre uve etnee 50%

 Le uve provengono da vigne di 80 anni piantate ad alberello ad una altitudine superiore ai 1000 metri , il 50% della massa di Grecanico in grappoli interi viene pressata dopo una settimana di macerazione e trasferita in botti di Rovere usate da 20 ettolitri, mentre il restante 50% viene pressato immediatamente con piccole percentuali di Carricante ed altre uve etnee Floreale e fruttato, il Mango e la Pesca sono in primo piano,  minerale con note iodate e di macchia mediterranea Fresco e delicato, raffinato e salino, delicato e con una notevole lunghezza sul finale

White 2020, Grecanico, Carricante ed una piccola percentuale variabile di uve etnee

Le uve provengono da vecchie vigne piantate ad alberello, i grappoli vengo pressati interi e trasferiti in botti di Rovere usate da 20 ettolitri dove rimangono per 8 mesi prima dell’imbottigliamento. Naso fresco di fiori bianchi ed agrumi, si avvertono specialmente Limone e Lime, minerale e con ritorni di erbe selvatiche come il Timo. Fresco e caldo, sapido e fine, acidità e mineralità vanno a braccetto, il sorso è equilibrato e lungo

The grapes come from two vineyards planted in 1930, located on a terrace called Contrada Crasa, and with a yield of just 800 kg. They ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, spend two weeks on the skins before making wood until the following September. Broad, with jasmine that can be clearly perceived as well as cherry and red orange, then turning to spicy and mineral notes Crisp but round, the body is impressive, the drinkability surprising, polite tannin and long finish

Wine of Anna Qvevri Don Alfio 2020Nerello Mascalese

For her Qvevri line, Anna uses Georgian terracotta amphorae made by one of the country's last craftsmen, Zaaliko Bodjadze. The grapes come from a small 6000 square metre plot at an altitude of 900 metres, are destemmed by hand and then macerated in the amphorae for three to four months. Lots of red apples and dried berries on the nose, vegetal tones and hints of liquorice and chocolate. To define it as paunchy is little, fresh and tannic, powerful and elegant, savoury and very persistent

Qvevri 2019, Nerello Mascalese 95%, Nerello Cappuccio and Alicante 5%

For her Qvevri line, Anna uses Georgian earthenware amphorae made by one of the country's last craftsmen, Zaaliko Bodjadze. The grapes come from different vineyards and therefore undergo different macerations, once assembled they are aged until the following September in Qvevri Floral, Sicilian aromas, and full of red fruits, including cherries and wild strawberries, very mineral, with hints of Mediterranean scrub, especially wild herbs. Flavour balanced between acidity and mineral structure, full and with velvety tannin, persistent

Palmentino 2020, Nerello Mascalese 95%, altre uve bianche e rosse (Nerello Cappuccio, Alicante, Grecanico, Minella, Catarratto) 5%

Il vino fermenta spontaneamente con lieviti autoctoni non viene filtrato nè chiarificato. Il 50% dell’uvaggio è prodotto in un palmento, il tradizionale edificio etneo di vinificazione, con macerazione sulle bucce di 5 giorni; 30% is wine produced in a Georgian qvevri, with one month's maceration on the skins. The remaining 20% of the blend is a wine fermented and aged in a large used oak barrel.  Floreale, sa di Sicilia, frutti rossi, tra cui spiccano Ciliegie e Fragoline di bosco, molto minerale, con sentori di Macchia mediterranea, specie di erbe selvatiche. Spremuta di frutta, fresco e pieno, con tannini fitti e vivi, sapido.

The Il Vino di Anna winery is more of a boutique than a real winery, here are hidden wonders, the wines are unique.

It rises to great altitudes, between 760 and 1200 metres above sea level, on the northern side of Etna, between Solicchiata, Maletto and Linguaglossa: the soil here is crazy, wonderfully volcanic and rich, the wines are incredibly sapid and elegant

The vines are between 60 and 100 years old, cultivated with a biodynamic approach

The owners of this small but portentous company are Eric Narioo and Anna Martens, who have been devoted to natural viticulture, with great satisfaction, for over 10 years
