From Amsterdam to Catalunya, Jurriaan and Dido are a couple with a crazy passion for natural wine, who realise their dream of owning a winery in 2018.

Theirs is an incredible story, Jurriaan is an engineer and was in charge of a Turkish agency, Dido a researcher Cultural Anthropologist who studied in South Africa at the Swartland Independent Producers, a group of natural producers who were an inspiration to the couple.

From there, various experiences in France and Catalunya, until arriving in the North-Eastern region of Alt-Emporda, Girona, in large companies but also in small boutiques.

Vinyes Tortuga covers almost 10 hectares of land in the Albera Natural Reserve in the Eastern Pyrenees. The wines are produced with little human intervention in the vineyard and cellar, without clarification, filtration or stabilisers.

Jurriaan and Dido produce Garnacha, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Tannat and Barbera, from vines that are between 15 and 20 years old, the approach is biodynamic. About 13,000 bottles are produced.

The names of all the wines recall particularly popular albums or songs.
