Vouvray Sec La Dilettante 2023 Domaine Breton

Vouvray Sec La Dilettante is a red white wine from Domaine Breton in Benais, Loire, and obtained from pure Chenin Blanc grapes, harvested manually and coming from a plot rich in clay. Fermentation is spontaneous, with indigenous yeasts and maceration for a few days. The wine is then bottled with a homeopathic dose of carbon dioxide. Vouvray Sec La Dilettante has a delicate nose of wild herbs and fruit such as peach and apricot, orange peel and flowers, in the mouth it is fresh and elegant, savory and with a long and honeyed finish. A great experience paired with local cheese.

It goes perfectly with the cheeses of the region, Crottin de Chavignon, Pouligny Saint Pierre and Feuille de Dreux

The Breton family was born for wine, curiously in fact here the Cabernet Franc is called Breton, and they live in an ancient farmhouse with adjacent cellars and surrounded by nature: Vineyards and Woods.

The company is right in the center of the Bourguel-Benais-Restignè triangle and extends over 11 hectares raised in a natural way.

The grapes ferment spontaneously with native yeasts, but in different containers, based on the soil of their origin. Those that come from gravelly areas go into stainless steel, while those that come from clayey ones end up in old oak vats.
