The Maison Waris Larmandier was founded in 1989 but the estate’s vineyards have been producing for much longer.
Since 2000, Marie Helen Larmandier has taken over the reins of the company (following the death of her husband Vincent Waris) and catapulted the Maison and its 9 hectares into biodynamic conversion thanks also to the help of her three sons, Jean Philippe, Pierre Louis and Ines.
The sixth generation of the family’s vigneron.
This Maison is a real living being in which animals, such as the horses that plow the land, the chickens that eliminate parasites and the sheep that graze the grass, participate fully in production.
The main objective of the Waris Larmandier is to produce exceptional Champagnes that identify with the territory and history of Avize and that are perceived as true and sincere by their customers.
Elegance, character and originality are the main characteristics that can be found in the labels of this company which is located in the beating heart of the region and which has the ambition of establishing itself at the highest levels.
Waris-Larmandier can boast Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, in Chouilly, Cramant, Avize, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, the top for Chardonnay.
