From vines over a hundred years old on clay-limestone soil with a little sandstone. Chenin ages in used barriques for 24 months.
The nose is a riot of citrus, white flowers and minerality.
Tasting lively, tense, with a fruity note that goes perfectly with the mineral one.
Serving temperature 14°
Rice with Porcini Mushrooms, Tonnarelli with Truffle, Urchins
Excellent when young, but with a little patience it becomes amazing
Sylvie Augereau is not only a wine enthusiast, she is one of the most important writers on the subject and is the organizer of “La Dive bouteille”, a historic natural wine fair held annually in the Loire.
In 2014 he realized his dream, that of buying vineyards. She did this by acquiring approximately two hectares in Anjou belonging to her grandfather, who left her everything as an inheritance, trained in Chenin Blanc from 50-year-old vines and Cabernet Franc from 80-year-old vines.
His idea of wine is absolutely natural, from the biodynamic approach in the vineyard to winemaking. Low yields, manual harvesting and meticulous selection of the bunch, and then using native yeasts in the cellar.
