Altare Langhe Nebbiolo 2022

Langhe Nebbiolo is a red wine produced by Nicholas Altare in Dogliani, Piedmont. It is obtained from pure Nebbiolo grapes coming from clayey-limestone soil; spontaneous fermentation and maceration for 3 weeks, aging for 10 months in Slavonian oak barrels. Langhe Nebbiolo has a very intriguing nose with many fruity notes and red petal flowers, memories of champignon mushrooms, earthy and balsamic, in the mouth it is fresh and savory, balanced and with brilliant tannins. This wine is simply perfect with lasagna and cannelloni

The grapes come from a clay-limestone soil, macerate on the skins for 3 weeks then 10 months in large Slavonian oak barrels.

Rose and violet, cherry, currant and raspberry, undergrowth, champignon mushrooms, with mineral and black pepper notes

Full but fresh on the palate, balanced with noble tannins, it is elegant and very long

DOGLIANI (CN)

We are in Dogliani, or rather in San Luigi, in the center of the Dolcetto di Dogliani cultivation area; here Nicholas Altare cultivates his family’s vineyards, some of which are very old.

Nicholas “inherited” a company handed down from generation to generation, he has always had a strong passion for this world, but it was after meeting a master like Principiano Ferdinando, that he began producing artisanal wine from bottle.

It’s 2015 and Nicholas just couldn’t stand seeing his grapes sold in bulk, and it was in that year that the journey began.
