Ortsweine Riesling Schnait Trocken is a white wine produced by Andi Knauss in Obrigheim-Pfalz in Germany and obtained from pure Riesling grapes. Vendemic manual with spontaneous fermentation by native yeasts in steel: 70% of the mass remains in steel for 7 months, the remaining 30% makes large almost exhausted wood for the same time, and finally the wine is assembled ready to rest in the bottle with a homeopathic addition of sulfur dioxide. Ortsweine Riesling Schnait Trocken tastes of orange and lime peel, ginger and dill, and then again white flowers and mineral notes. In the mouth it is agile and very fast, fresh and tasty, to try with poultry

Strumpfelbach, Germany
The Knauss are a family of winemakers for several generations, who have always supplied grapes to the local cooperative. This was until 2004 when Andreas, Horst’s son, decided to start his own business and found his company a>.
We are located in Strumpfelbach, in the Remstal area, east of Stuttgart, and in the west of Germany, between Luxembourg, France and Switzerland, in the Baden Württemberg region.
Andreas is a young and talented producer, who gained the necessary work experience in Austria to slowly build his property, which today has 14 hectares of vineyards and 100 different plots, all worked organically.
The terroir is marly limestone, at an altitude of 400 meters above the level of the Rems river.
Andi’s approach is hardly interventionist, in the vineyard or in the cellar, and lets his wines speak for him, calibrated, engaging and expressive
