La Morra, Langhe
The company, founded in 1959, is today led by Andrea Oberto, son of the founder. There are 14 hectares of land under vines.
Over the years, the passion that Andrea puts into his business has not changed: while other producers have preferred
delegating work in the vineyards, he remained faithful to the countryside by continuing to bend his back to the earth
with the same enthusiasm as before. The vineyards are located in the municipal areas of La Morra, Barolo and Cherasco.
The flagship of the entire production is Barolo Rocche, obtained from the Rocche dell’Annunziata vineyard in La
Morra. The Barolo Albarella, which comes from a Barolo vineyard, is perhaps less well known, but it is definitely not
less important than the first. The company is very fond of Barbera d’Alba Giada because since 1988, the first
year of winemaking, it achieved great success, winning the approval of many consumers. There
range of wines continues with two Dolcetti, two Barberes and a Nebbiolo. The new cellar is located on the street
provincial road that leads to Verduno: its construction began in 2000 and ended in 2003 and represents
all the sacrifices and investments that the company has made in recent years. Langhe, from the Latin linguae (tongues),
according to the most accredited hypotheses of historians. And they appear like neatly intertwined tongues of land
sinuous hills from the top of the town of La Morra, one of the most suitable centers for the production of Barolo, a few
kilometers from Alba (Cuneo), in the heart of Piedmont. With its 513 meters above sea level, La Morra retains its charm
of medieval origins and an enormous wine heritage, diversified from slope to slope and with
a consequent exceptional organoleptic variety between wines of the same type.
The company vineyards, trained in Guyot on predominantly calcareous-clayey soil, are located in the territories of La Morra,
Barolo and Cherasco.
