Barbaresco Roccalini is a red wine produced by Cascina Roccalini in Barbaresco, in the Langhe, and obtained from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. Manual harvest and spontaneous fermentation in cement from indigenous yeasts, with the submerged cap technique. After 3 months it is decanted into oak barrels for 18 months, and subsequently bottled with as little intervention as possible. Barbaresco Roccalini is a riot of undergrowth scents on the nose, including floral notes and red and dark fruit jam, then hazelnut and finally earthy and spicy notes. In the mouth it is elegant and velvety, fresh and long. To be paired with a nice slice of beef with truffles

Nose of rose and violet, red fruits like cherries, almost in alcohol, then undergrowth, hazelnut, mineral returns and spicy puffs
A bomb, with great structure with velvety tannins and lots of elegance. The sip is always fresh and the finish is pleasantly long

A great Barbaresco, made like it used to be
Barbaresco, Langhe, Piedmont
Cascina Roccalini is located in Barbaresco in the heart of the Langhe, spread over almost 5 hectares of vineyards, the owner is the young Paolo Vaglio, a farmer since he was 14 years old and now a proud producer of Nebbiolo.
Until 2004 Paolo produced grapes which were then given to Bruno Giacosa; since 2005 he has decided to try his luck on his own, and the facts are giving him reasons to spare.
The winery’s approach is absolutely natural and the style is refined. Over the years, the ancient submerged cap technique has been revived for the vinification of Barbaresco, which gives the wines greater structure.
The first Riserva also arrived in 2011
