The Domaine des Berthiers is located here, in Saint Andelain, a small municipality in the heart of the Loire and adjacent to Pouilly sur Loire. A simply wonderful area for the production of extraordinary white wines from Sauvignon Blanc and Gris.
The founder is Claude Dagauneau, father of the even more famous Didier.
The company consists of 11 hectares in total, arranged on soft slopes that guarantee drainage and perfect health of the grapes, which reach optimal ripeness before being picked, manually. The vineyards are more than 30 years old and are located on the typical soil of the area, limestone and siliceous (the famous silex, flint), very rich in marine fossils.
