Gentle Folk Village Blanc 2021

Village Blanc is a white wine produced by Gentle Folk in Adelaide Hills, Australia and obtained from Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Chardonnay grapes. We like it very much because it represents a perfect synthesis of the three vines and is intended as a tribute to the great whites of the Loire. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration of whole bunch grapes for a day, pressed and then refined together in French oak barrels. Floral, citrus and herbaceous on the nose, fresh and saline on the palate. Try it with porchetta!

The grapes come from shale soils rich in sandstone and quartz, one-day whole bunch maceration, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, then pressing and racking into barrique

Floral with hints of aromatic herbs, citrus fruits and hints of sweet spices

A mix of the aromatic notes of Sauvignon, the saline notes of Riesling, and the structure of Chardonnay

Serving temperature 10°-12°
