Chinuri Skin is an orange wine from Pheasant ‘s Tears in Kakheti, Georgia. Pheasant’s Tears is an icon in the world of natural wine and each of its wines demonstrates why: spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and 30-day maceration in amphora, after pressing still in amphora to refine for 10 months. It is bottled with a homeopathic dose of sulfur dioxide when necessary, without filtration or clarification. The nose is dominated by dried and tropical fruit, in the mouth it is fresh and tasty, pleasantly tannic. Perfect with zozzona pasta

The grapes come from the area of the village of Mukhrani in Kartli, they are harvested manually, with whole bunch vinification and 30 days of maceration, they ferment at room temperature. Subsequently 10 months in the amphora. Minimal addition of sulfur pre-bottling, no clarification or filtration.

From the passion for Georgian culture, music and traditions of the painter Jhon Wurdeman and from the knowledge of the different territories of the farmer and winemaker Gela Patalishvili, Pheasant’s Tears was born.

John Wurdeman‘s project aims to enhance the culture and historical tradition of Georgian wine.

The wines are vinified and aged, as per tradition, in Qvevri (amphora).
