After an initial pre-fermentation maceration of 2 days followed by spontaneous fermentation, it then remains on the skins for approximately 7 weeks, aging in 3 500 liter tonneaux for 47 months. A deep and complex Brunello with a well-defined spicy note
Fascinating on the nose with its complexity, it opens with Rose and Violet, then small red fruits almost jam-like. Shortly after Black Pepper, Chocolate, Vanilla and aromatic woods. Ethereal.
The taste is powerful and exuberant, like a young colt, the tannin ideal, but over time it will become silky. Great freshness is a guarantee of longevity. Long on the finish
Serving temperature 20°
Pigeon and wild boar, chicken livers, truffle
It is a great wine, one of the highest expressions of the entire territory
Montalcino (Siena)
Caroline Pobitzer is a South Tyrolean woman with a passion for Tuscany and good wine. He then decides to move to Montalcino and found a company, Pian dell’Orino. His consultant was a German agronomist and oenologist, Jan Hendrik Erbach, but their relationship soon blossomed into love, and now the couple, more passionate and determined than ever, are together in the company’s saddle.
In the 6 hectares of the biodynamically managed company, the only grape variety grown and pampered is Sangiovese.
Everything at Pian dell’Orino, from the vineyard to the cellar, is aimed at allowing this noble vine to express itself at the highest levels, giving fleshy, savory and rich wines, the fruit of Mediterranean passion and Teutonic precision. Above all, the fruit of wisdom and patience!
