after a 2-day pre-fermentation maceration followed by spontaneous fermentation, the wine remains on the skins for approximately 7 weeks. Refines in 25 hl wood and 500 liter tonneaux for 36 months.

Intense and complex, it opens with dark petaled flowers, red fruits and undergrowth. Then Black Pepper, Coffee, and light Vanilla. Ethereal.

Mineral and powerful, extremely elegant, denotes great aging capacity, the tannin is already ready. Delicious on the finish

Caroline Pobitzer is a South Tyrolean woman with a passion for Tuscany and good wine. He then decides to move to Montalcino and found a company, Pian dell’Orino. His consultant was a German agronomist and oenologist, Jan Hendrik Erbach, but their relationship soon blossomed into love, and now the couple, more passionate and determined than ever, are together in the company’s saddle.

In the 6 hectares of the biodynamically managed company, the only grape variety grown and pampered is Sangiovese.

Everything at Pian dell’Orino, from the vineyard to the cellar, is aimed at allowing this noble vine to express itself at the highest levels, giving fleshy, savory and rich wines, the fruit of Mediterranean passion and Teutonic precision. Above all, the fruit of wisdom and patience!
