Gols, Burgenland
Stefanie and Susanne, the Renner sisters, are daughters of winemakers, and in 2014 they decided to take the reins of the family estate, founded in Gols at the end of the 1980s, and to convert it to biodynamic, complete with certification obtained in 2018.
The company extends over 4 hectares of vineyards, where the work is entirely manual and without the use of chemicals. The grapes grown are those of the Austrian tradition, Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and Sankt Laurent.
Their winemaking philosophy was strongly influenced by trips to France and Australia, where they were able to gain experience with great vignerons such as Tom Lubbe of Matassa, in Languedoc Roussillon and Tom Shobbrock in Australia.
Curiously, their flagship wine, Waiting for Tom Rot is dedicated to these two great producers.
