Sensational in terms of value for money
In the greenery of the Val di Chiana, in an uncontaminated area far from any inhabited centre, rurality and sustainability have reigned supreme for decades.
Here the production of wine and oil has centuries-old roots and San Ferdinando with 60 hectares of which 9 are under vineyards, has been grafted magnificently since the year 2000 into a “wild” ecosystem with radical choices, the cornerstone of which is the valorisation of native varieties.
Suffice it to say that Pugnitello, for example, there are fewer than 20 producers and only in Tuscany. The Ciliegiolo is very great, with a fresh style and vinified only in steel.
Also noteworthy are the Sangiovese, produced only in the best vintages, and the Vermentino but the entire line combines very high quality and incredibly accessible prices.
