The grapes come from the vineyard of a cousin of Carla’s mother and it was almost about to be uprooted, when it was decided to keep it almost for fun to see what would come out of it. We are in Elands Bay, pergola vines planted in 1998 and always grown organically, characterized by lots of annual sun and a beautiful breeze coming from the ocean. Fermentation in non-first passage barriques and aging for 6 months. Only in Magnum.
White flowers and lots of citrus fruits, hints of honey and salty, almost chalky mineral
It goes away with agility and finesse, it is savory and fresh, slightly aromatic and persistent
