Podversic is a six-hectare vineyard nestled among the gentle slopes of Monte Calvario. Here, Damijan breeds and vinifies international varieties that are now considered part of the area's heritage, such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, as well as the very Friulian Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana and, of course, Friulano.
The approach is undoubtedly natural, with one eye on the environment and the other on tradition, following the natural rhythms and phases of the moon.
Vinification is carried out entirely in wood, with spontaneous fermentation and indigenous yeasts and long maceration of the grapes on the skins.
Damijan Podversic is also reusing old abandoned vineyards with almost 100-year-old plants and a lot of charity runs through the A3 project, for which internationally renowned artists create the labels of 15 unique Jeroboams to donate each year.
Podversic's wines have a lot of personality and tell beautiful and unique stories of great drinking
