Nantes, Loire La Sènèchaliere is the creature of Marc Pesnot, a vigneron son of art; and indeed for many years Marc has produced conventional wines together with his father. His life changed at the instigation of his brother Denis, a historic French sommelier for many years in the service of the late chef Joel Robuchon. Denis opens his eyes and allows him to get to know great producers such as Marcel Lapierre and Pierre Overnay, who will strongly influence his style. The winery today has 13 hectares under vine, all under biodynamic regimen since 2000, with very low yields close to 20 quintals per hectare; the vines are between 50 and 80 years old, mainly in Melon de Bourgogne with a small plot of Folle Blanche in Muscadet.
