Saumur Champigny Franc de Pied 2020, Cabernet Franc

From a micro plot of sandy soil. Free-range vines, saplings planted 1 metre x 1 metre (10,000 vines per hectare). Vinified in wooden vats. Only 900 bottles produced. Purest and unmediated expression of Cabernet Franc. It opens with Violet, then Currant, Blueberry and Raspberry, slightly smoky notes and great minerality. Sip fine and elegant, tasty, with barely noticeable tannin and persistent flavour.

Saumur Clos Romans 2015Chenin Blanc

Chenin on soil with 30 centimetres of clayey sand and then limestone. Tillage with horse and natural grassing. Alcoholic fermentation in 400 and 600 litre barrels. Pneumatic pressing for 4 hours, 2 months of fermentation and maturation on the noble lees for 9 months. Hints of citrus fruits, grapefruit and lime, white flowers, then vegetal, aromatic herbs and green pepper, and finally acacia honey. The taste is consistent with the nose, still fresh and fruity, exotic, honeyed and very long.

Saumur Clos de l`Echelier Blanc 2015Chenin Blanc

From an emblematic 300-year-old clos with breathtaking views of the Loire and 6,500 vines per hectare. Harvested by hand, alcoholic fermentation in 600-litre oval barriques. Pneumatic pressing for 4 hours, 3 months of fermentation then maturation on the fine lees for nine months. Incredible nose, ripe white fruit, slightly citrus notes, white and yellow flowers then vanilla, white pepper and rose, herbaceous contours and great minerality. The taste is deep, still fresh but tending towards round, powerful and fruity. Long, mineral finish
