Alta Langa Leonardo Extra Brut is a sparkling wine produced by Ferdinando Principiano in Monforte d'Alba in the Langhe. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts for about three weeks, before re-fermenting in the bottle with the addition of indigenous must, without the addition of sulphur dioxide, clarification or filtration. Creamy, savoury and delicate, it spends 3 years on the lees and is ideal for white truffle dishes

Ferdinando Principiano was born and raised among the family vineyards, at only 45 years of age he already has over 25 vintages behind him and enormous experiencefrom a former Barolo modernist, it is now one of the most solid points of reference for the reasoned viticulture in the Langa.
