Kamara
Kilkis, Greece Dimitrios and his daughter Stavroula, are the owners of the company: Dimitrios in the cellar, and Stavroula, in the vineyard. The idea is to create an agricultural organism integrated into the ecosystem that hosts it. Work in the vineyard is all manual, treatments are done with preparations of plant origin (nettle and yarrow, among others, are used), and compost and manure are used for nourishment. 'the true winemaker is nature, man is its assistant', Dimitrios repeats when talking about his way of making wine. It fits into a broader approach to natural things taken by the family over the years, even before they moved to the estate that is now Kamara Winery.
