Vire sur Lot, France Pascal Veraeghe's is the classic story we like to tell: the family founded the Chateau de Cedre in 1950, but Pascal only had motorbikes on his mind, at least until 1980, when he returned from the Bol d'Or and the spark flew. He was only supposed to stop to help the family with the grape harvest, but instead he enrolled in oenology in Macon, trained in Burgundy and Macon, and after eight years, here he is taking the reins of the estate together with his brother Jean Marc. Chateau le Cedre has been certified organic since 2012, but the practice in the vineyard has always been ultra respectful of nature, and Malbec is the most widely cultivated vine.
