"Valvignères is a village apart, in the Ardèche. Apart, not only because of the charm of its landscape, its wild nature, but also because you have to come here "on purpose", and when you live here, you feel comfortable, protected, sheltered from the urban world.

Valvignères is located in the heart of a valley (vallis vinaria, in Roman times: the valley of the vine), as if preserved from the whims of the heavens and the unleashing of men!!! Although the climate there is mild to live in and biodynamics fairly easy to follow, the soil has not always been easy to work and still isn't: with clays, you have to calculate the right time to avoid compacting the soil. .

The more we advance in years, the more we realise that nature does things well and more!!! We have evolved over time and have come closer to the idea that making wine, being a winegrower, is not just about working your vines, harvesting your grapes and making your wine.

We chose to adopt biodynamics; this allowed us to understand how much influence and weight 'Nature' had on everything around us and how much we had to protect it in order to be able to leave our children a healthy and rich land on which to live in health." Hélène and Christophe COMTE
