Marguet
Ambonnay, France
Benoit Marguet, young and resolute, is the last descendant of the ancient Maison that was first Bonner-Ave Frèeres, then Marguet-Bonnerave.
He has been at the helm of the company since 2004 and manages 8 hectares of property in Ambonnay, of which 1.5 are leased to Krug.
The wines of the Maison are characterized by extreme attention to production (with the help of two magnificent horses in the vineyard) and a disarming elegance. They transmit energy.
The Champagnes of Marguet strike the heart and the palate. The peculiarity is that all plots are vinified separately in barrels and from year to year Benoit decides the assemblages and dosages, obtaining unique excellence each time.
