Burja Bela 2019, Malvasia istriana 30%, Ribolla italica 30%, Riesling italico 30%, Zelen and other varieties 10%
Grapes come from two different vineyards: Ravno brdo and Ostri vrh. The former rests on a harder and more resistant layer of sandstone, richer in calcium carbonate even on the surface, while the latter alternates between sandstone and marl. All the vines ferment together on the skins for a week. It matures for 8 months in cement and oak vats. Rocky nose, in the sense that you can feel all the pleasantness of the maritime terroir, hence very mineral, with aromatic hints, white flowers and ripe fruit, including citrus. Slightly spicy. A fabulous taste that plays on the balance between freshness and sapidity, the mouth is full, elegant and aromatic, the long sip
Burja Noir 2019Pinot Noir
Vines between 10 and 20 years old from a plot of land where sandstone and marl alternate on a rocky base. Fermented in steel, it matures for a year in 10/15 hl Slavonian oak barrels. Great space is given to the Marls of the soil that we find on the nose, then Rose and Violet, almost ripe Red Fruits, underbrush and light spicy notes. Full-bodied yet fresh and easy on the palate, the tannin is barely noticeable, long and savoury
Burja Primus Stranice 2018, Malvasia Istriana, Riesling italico, Ribolla
Field grapes from a 0.9 ha vineyard in the eponymous locality at an altitude of 150 metres on marl. Macerates for 8 days on the skins and matures for 24 months in cement vats. Deep, austere, mineral nose. Floral and aromatic notes follow one another, then white-fleshed fruit. Savoury and fresh mouthfeel, extremely mineral and of great length

Podnanos, Vipava Valley, Slovenia
The Lavrencic family has been making wine since 1499, and now it is the turn of Primoz, the latest generation to carry on the family tradition. He does this in a way that he defines as modern and traditional, concepts that for him coincide.
Burja climbs between wind and rock, and sets itself some production rules that cannot be deviated from:
- Plant integrity rather than intervention
- Respect for local varieties
- Promoting the biodiversity of vineyards
- Lack of control in production processes
Primoz has a dream, which is becoming reality thanks to the contribution of many local winegrowers, of making the Terroir of the Vipava Valley, which offers absolute pearls, known and appreciated all over the world.
Like the ones Primoz himself produces!
