Alsace Utopiste Restons Nature 2019Gewurztraminer
From clay-limestone soils, for the 80% with destemmed grapes and for the 20% with whole bunches, it macerates for 21 days in contact with the skins. Matures for 8 months in 20 hl barrels. Unfiltered and with no added sulphites. Orange-coloured, it opens with a fine aromatic richness well supported by a distinct salinity. Aromatic and delicate, it has citrus notes of Grapefruit, Mandarin and Lichi, then floral notes of Rose and white flowers, finishing with pink pepper. Full-bodied in the mouth, with great structure and flavour, fresh and with a long finish.
Pinot Noir Infrarouge 2019
From vines about 40 years old planted on clay-limestone soils with a yield of 50 hl/ha. Macerates on the skins for a fortnight with about 25% of whole cluster. Aged in barriques and demi-muids for 10 months. Very interesting expression of Pinot Noir. Explosion of berries, review Ribes, Blackberry, Raspberry, Cherry and Strawberrythen the floral notes of Rose and Violet enter. At the end, underbrush and a very light spicy note. Fresh and drinkable on the palate, with barely noticeable tannin. Savoury and slightly fruity on the finish
Ya Plus Quà 2020, Auxerrois 60%, Sylvaner 40%
From vines between 15 and 45 years old at an altitude of 200 metres. Fermented in steel tanks, where it remains in contact with the lees for two years. Intense and fresh on the nose, with white flowers, peach and sage above all. Pleasant minerality and spice. Fresh and savoury on the palate, full-bodied and lean, long finish

Even as he is uncorking one of his labels his eyes speak of ideas and future plans.
His idea of wine is strongly expressive of the terroir from which he comes, with sharp and mineral wines, great drinking and without residual sugar, in full Alsatian style. Obtained by microvinifications, Kumpf et Mayer can count on 16 hectares of property, all fragmented in the best Alsatian tradition. The terroirs are many and varied. A young company with a bright future.
