Gentle Folk Village Blanc 2021

Village Blanc is a white wine produced by Gentle Folk in Adelaide Hills, Australia and made from Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Chardonnay grapes. We like it very much because it represents a perfect synthesis of the three grape varieties and is a tribute to the great whites of the Loire. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and whole cluster maceration of the grapes for one day, then pressed and refined together in French oak barrels. Floral, citrusy and herbaceous on the nose, fresh and saline on the palate. Try it with porchetta!

🛁 The grapes come from schist soils rich in sandstone and quartz, whole cluster maceration for one day, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, then pressing and racking in barrels

👅 A blend of the aromatic notes of Sauvignon, the saline notes of Riesling, and the structure of Chardonnay
