Sommariva Perno in the Roero

It is the new project of Gianluca Viberti of Casina Bric; the estate is located in a magnificent valley that precedes what remains of a dense forest once traversed by Roman troops descending to Pollenzo with Pliny.

An incredible place that converges on a road through the trees and arrives at a house in the middle of meadows and cultivated fields, of which there is a trace in the cadastre of the municipal archives in 1697.

A piece of Roero history, which often changed hands between farmers, nobles and bankers over the centuries, until it became a refuge for hunters.

For Victor Emmanuel II, the future King of Italy, and his lady, Rosa Vercellana, these places were a safe haven. Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour, Urbano Rattazzi, ministers and dignitaries passed through here.

Gianluca's goal is to restore dignity to this naturist oasis that boasts a drinking water spring right in the centre of the estate, a pond and over 40 hectares of chestnut woods, centuries-old oaks and fields of vines
