ColleFormica was born in 2017 in an area with a millenary tradition. In fact, here the Bombetti Family has been producing wine (and not only) for more than a century, it is not unusual, walking through the rows, to meet vines of almost half a century old. The vegetation also includes centuries-old oaks and orange trees, testifying to the absolutely Mediterranean climate of the entire area.
The company takes its name from the district where the vineyards are located in a hilly area a few kilometers from the sea and the city of Rome. The territory, that of the Castelli Romani, is volcanic and this, then translated into the wine-making process, gives the wines an elegance that is truly worthy of attention.
The winery is very young but is enjoying great success among natural wine lovers thanks to its easy-drinking and bewitching aromas.
The owner of the winery is Sergio Bombetti, who learned to make wine as a boy thanks to his father's teachings and is ready to hand over the helm to his son Paolo, who has a degree in economics but is now an accomplished winemaker.
ColleFormica represents an extraordinary union between autochthonous vines (yes, even Primitivo can be defined as such) and a natural wine-making approach (sulphur dioxide below 20 mg/litre) and respect for the environment.
